Mildew
The grey coating on the older leaves of aquatic plants, a sign of mildew, is unsightly, but the plants seem capable of living with it with only a little loss of vigour. Marsh marigals are the most susceptible, often developing mildew in mid-late summer. If the old, infected leaves are completely removed, th eplant will recover very quickly and fresh green leaves will soon appear. The rapid re-growth shown by mist aquatics means that this method of control is more advisable than spraying with fungicide.
