The star shaped flowers, which grow to approximately 15-19cm (6-7.5in) across, have pink petals with lighter tips surrounding deep yellow stamens. The nearly round leaves are green and reddish purple when young.

The cup like, scented flowers, which later become flat, are 20-28cm (8-11in) in diameter and have lavender-pink petals surrounding yellow stamens. The round leaves, 23-25cm (9-10in) across, are olive green with purple blotches
